Discharged Stump?

This morning I wandered around the lake on a mission to photograph more barren Winter trees for a series that I am currently working on. I already have a zillion photographs, but I wanted a particular shape of tree this morning. In amongst a grove of trees, I found this sawed-off pine trunk. Doesn't it look just like some type of shibori discharge? I love it!

Yes, It's wonderful. I was on a tree alert while they were bare and love all the variety of shapes. I'll be excited to see your series. I got pictures of the budding Chinaberry trees last weekend in New Orleans and love the leaves. They're on my blog.
