They're Back!
As big of a bird lover as I am, these are my least favorite bird. I don't appreciate their squawking cry or the droppings they leave all over everything. But I do love the way the blue on their head shines in the sunlight. They seem to arrive about this time every spring, and then they depart once the youngsters have fledged.

Oh yes, we have some of them that like to cackle and squawk too. This one does have a lovely blue streak though. Great catch!
The raucous, noisy grackle--not ever very welcome, but who can not admire his beautiful iridescent coloring! You really captured it. Thanks for the reminder God made up for his voice with his beauty.
