Winter Trees

I shot these tree images on Sunday as I walked around the lake. The contrast of the barren branches and the hints of snow made for some interesting images. I love all the angles of the tree branches!

I love the bare bones of the trees in winter - I call them tree skeletons. I often take pics of them.

I spent part of a morning driving around and taking pics of the hoarfrost on trees etc in the last 2 weeks - here it can disappear by afternoon. So lovely!

this is so fascinating, Karen....I don't live around hardwood forests so never get to see this kind of view. My winter views are filled with fir and other evergreens, laden down with snow, which create their own interesting patterns as the boughs droop with the weight of the snow. I really like the linear actions in these. thanks for sharing

Karen, Thanks for sharing... I have really noticed at the lake cottage more and more the branches as I look up in the trees.. I love that look... The canapy is so tall over our property...I know I'll do something with that eventually. But I do love the B&W's :)

Great pictures! I, too, am taking lots of black and white photos this winter. I'm fascinated by this season.
