More Maple Leaf Collages

Every time I think I am done with this series, I find more great leaves. Another neighbor's tree just started dropping its crimson leaves, so here are two more collages made with maple leaves. Each one of these is 6.75"h x 4.25"w and will be mounted on 10" x 8" Bristol board. This makes 8 collages in the series so far, and I am still loving them.

I love your leaf series, but I am wondering: what do you do, if anything, to get the leaf to keep its shape and color? Or are these temporary pieces?

Hi Linda!
I have an old book press that I use to press the leaves, then I seal the entire collage when I am done to protect the leaf and maintain the color.

Your collages are beautiful. This is my first autumn in Tennessee. I was concerned moving this far southwest that I would missout on autumn colors - oh my was I ever wrong. The colors here are glorious! and the day temps stay so warm, I can get out and enjoy it for hours. Your collages capture the colors I am experiencing (not just seeing) perfectly!! thankyou!
