Today's Design Wall

This is the newest project on the design wall, or should I say the design floor, since that is where I am actually working today. It is a bigger piece about dialogues and communication. I am still adding pieces of cloth to it, and it will get more painted features once I get a background layout that I like. Any opinions?

Karen,
I like this background on your new piece, especially the non-linear edge. I think though, that the skinny pink/red piece extending at the bottom left isn't necessary. I like the stair step edge as is.
Great job!

Looks good, Karen - and I know it isn't finished, but why don't you try turning it upside down? At this point, it soars if you rotate it and it would be more anchored instead of top-heavy.

Hmmm, I just tried it upside down, but I don't care for that look. My vision is more along the lines of a shroud hanging down, which is why it is "top heavy".

It also has a 'kimono' feel about it - and the colors are absolutely marvelous, especially with the printed textural quality. It will be interesting to see how this piece evovles...
