And Another...

This morning collage combines some stamped text with some painted cloth and papers. These collages are created in about 15 minutes or less. Not a lot of thought goes into them --- just going with the flow and loosely creating.

Morning Collage

I am back in the studio, working on several new projects. As always, my first mission is to create a "warm-up" collage to get the creative mojo going again. I love the warm colors with just a hint of cool blues.

Miracles

On January14th this gorgeous young pup arrived in rescue. She had been picked up as a stray, and no one came to claim her, so she was going to be euthanized. She is not even a year old. Of course, Hands, Hearts & Paws said they would take her!

And yesterday I watched as she delivered 5 healthy, wiggly, crying puppies! What a miracle to witness their births, and also to realize that all of them would have been dead if not for a rescue that agreed to save them. Truly a miracle all the way around!

Wandering

When I need to relax and clear my mind, nature is always the perfect remedy. It calms me and renews my spirit. These photos were taken on a recent walk around Wehrspann Lake. On this particular walk, my focus was on the trees --- the angles and curves of the branches, the remnants of the bird nests and the way the trees played with the background scenery.

Layers

I am in love with painting, stitching and layers! I love that I can change the look of an artwork, simply by adding more paint and/or more layers. This collage isn't done yet, but I like the direction it is heading...

Gadget

Gadget is a female ori-pei, which is a mix of shar pei and pug. She was surrendered by a "breeder" to be euthanized because she had sustained an injury to one of her eyes when she was 6 weeks old. Instead of euthanizing her, the vet office called Hands, Hearts & Paws, and of course we took her into rescue. She is the sweetest, cuddliest puppy!
