I have been experimenting with painting on new substrates, to add more texture to my collages. This artwork is painted and relief printed papers collaged on a cradled board. It is ready to hang, like a painting, and I like this new look!
Mya has the biggest, most expressive brown eyes. Everyone that meets her comments that her eyes are full of soul. She openly shows her emotions, and she has a personality that wins everyone over. We love her, and we're so glad that she was rescued, so that we could adopt her and show her what love is all about!
Two more photos, just because he is so darn cute! He is really coming out of his shell --- starting to eat and hopefully put on some weight, starting to run around in the yard and play with our dogs, starting to get excited when he sees us coming. He is such a sweetheart and the perfect tiny dog!
This little Yorkshire terrier is only a year and a half old, but he is already in rescue. His owners were not taking care of him, and eventually they surrendered him to rescue. He was underweight, covered in fleas and matted. Now, he's a very friendly, happy boy! Beemer currently weighs 2.6 pounds, but he should gain another pound or so. His coloring is gorgeous in person!
This artwork is my donation to "A Year of Art", the newest Fiberart For A Cause fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Yesterday I took all of my bits and pieces of a new paper product and decided to add some color. This photo is the first round of painting. Lots of wet-on-wet painting, with a little bit of mono printing, and a few other techniques. I love this color palette, and these will work great in collages!
Here are my artworks from the first 7 days of Evergreen: The Holiday Pop-up of Affordable Art. I know many of you look forward to seeing the new art each day. For the rest of you, you do not have to be on Facebook to follow the link and check out the new art each day. Thank you to everyone that is stopping by!
